I get Hollywood's obsession for diversity, but this casting decision was wrong on so many levels, and I'm actually quite astonished that C. The bigger surprise though was when Nate Romanowski (Mustafa Speaks) showed up, as I wasn't prepared for a black actor in the role. Right out of the gate, this begins chronologically well before the setting of any of the stories I've read, since at this point, Joe (Michael Dorman) and wife Marybeth (Julianna Guill) have only two daughters, and they're not teenagers yet, let alone young adults. I became a fan of the Joe Pickett novel series a few months ago and have read four of the books so far, so I was looking forward to this series.
